Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our Transformation Unit as a Pain Management Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary team, providing specialist psychological services to individuals with chronic pain conditions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist psychological assessments and interventions to individuals with chronic pain conditions, including inpatients and outpatients.
  • Work autonomously within professional guidelines, exercising individual responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice.
  • Collaborate with Consultant Anaesthetists and Physiotherapists to develop and implement effective pain management strategies.
Key Requirements
  • Doctoral level training in clinical psychology, including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, and neuropsychology.
  • Experience of psychological assessment and treatment of clients across various care settings, including outpatient, community, primary care, and inpatient settings.
  • Skills in the use of complex methods of psychological assessment, intervention, and management, requiring sustained and intense concentration.
