Job Title: Education Support Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Education Support Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Chester. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our students.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing general classroom support, working with small groups of children, and assisting with lesson plans and activities. You will also have the opportunity to work one-to-one with children who require additional support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide general classroom support, including preparing materials and equipment
  • Work with small groups of children, delivering targeted learning activities
  • Assist with lesson plans and activities, ensuring a smooth and engaging learning experience
  • Support children with special educational needs, providing individualized support and guidance
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children aged 0-11 in a voluntary or paid capacity
  • Knowledge of the Statutory Framework for the KS2 Stage and the National Curriculum
  • Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) Level 1 upwards
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
