Technical Expertise Sought

Oxford Instruments Plc is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our Customer and Sustaining Engineering Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for the technical aspects of customer orders, including managing project specifications, running design reviews, and coordinating the activities of other engineers and sub-contractors.

About the Role

You will have previous experience in superconducting magnet and/or cryogenic systems and product design and development, ideally related to the design of systemised products. Your expertise in analysing and fault finding on complex systems, as well as knowledge of modular design and system configuration, will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project specifications and run design reviews
  • Coordinate the activities of other engineers and sub-contractors
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards
  • Contribute to the development of new platforms
  • Participate in improvement projects, such as new component design and updating existing components
