Position Overview
The Social Sciences division is in search of a dedicated Publisher to manage a portfolio of international journals focused on tourism, hospitality management, and information science. This role is pivotal in fostering the growth of our journals within the research community, enhancing collaborations, partnerships, and output, particularly from regions that are often underrepresented.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor industry trends to identify and analyze market needs and potential business opportunities.
- Utilize market insights and data analytics to formulate a strategic portfolio plan that meets established targets.
- Oversee organic content development as well as acquisition of new titles.
- Drive innovation in content formats and explore new channels for content dissemination.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other publishing professionals to achieve shared objectives.
Qualifications
- A Degree or PhD in a relevant Social Sciences field is preferred, though not mandatory.
- Demonstrated experience in publishing or a related field is essential.
- Exceptional networking and communication skills in English are required.
- Ability to adapt to evolving circumstances and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
