About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Engineer to join our client's live project in the water division, supporting the construction of a new water treatment centre in Cornwall. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out site setting out using Trimble S5 Robotic total Station and will work as part of the site management team, sharing responsibility for site security, health and safety, and more.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out site setting out using Trimble S5 Robotic total Station
  • Work as part of the site management team, sharing responsibility for site security, health and safety, and more
  • Day-to-day management of site-based construction works
  • Effective coordination of resources working on the project
  • Ensure temporary and permanent works are delivered in accordance with the design team
  • Act as a technical advisor to site engineers and subcontractors
  • Ensure all health and safety is adhered to on site
  • Hold and chair regular site reviews and meetings to improve construction
  • Coordinate and delegate workload among other engineers
  • Coordinate all site control and surveying on the site
  • Procure and maintain surveying and setting out equipment
  • Daily coordination and analysis of survey/settlement and monitoring results
  • Check and distribute drawings/documents and quantities, ensuring accuracy of calculations for work
Requirements
  • Good experience with GPS and other setting out digital equipment
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD
  • CSCS card
  • Full driving license
  • Industry-applicable qualification
  • Demonstrable civil engineering experience within water treatments
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft packages
  • CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid
