Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our Surgical Services team as a Clinical Lead Nurse. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced assessment area, providing clinical leadership and surgical expertise.

Main Duties

The post holder will be responsible for coordinating the busy flow of patients through the Surgical Assessment Centre (SAC). This requires excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in an acute hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the nursing team
  • Develop and implement effective patient flow strategies
  • Collaborate with medical and support staff to ensure seamless patient care
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
  • Completion of the national PEAP programme for practice supervisors or equivalent teaching and assessing qualification
  • Evidence of academic achievement or working towards degree level of study
  • Relevant post-registration experience in a surgical or acute care setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
