Job Description:

As an unqualified teacher/cover supervisor, you will be responsible for providing general cover for lessons in secondary school classrooms when teachers are absent. The lesson planning and activities will be available for you, so you are not expected to teach the lessons; you are simply required to deliver the set work to the pupils, ensuring that you create a safe classroom environment conducive to promoting optimal teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create a learning environment that effectively caters for pupils with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Be flexible and adaptable, willing and able to think on your feet.
  • Possess a recent, enhanced copy of a DBS or be willing to obtain one from Principal Education.
  • Possess an overseas police clearance from any country that you have resided in for six months or more within the last five years, outside of the United Kingdom.

Pay rates for work as an unqualified teacher/cover supervisor in our secondary schools typically range from GBP110 - GBP130 per day for flexible daily cover. However, if you secure an ongoing role in one school, we will aim to pay you a daily rate that aligns with the unqualified teacher pay scale.
