Quality Assurance Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Technician to join our in-house QA Team. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for testing products, assessing function, performance, and build quality within a Laboratory environment to ensure that the products meet the required standard for the brand.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Test and assess products, including first samples, pre-shipment samples, and stock samples, following departmental procedures.
  • Assess returned products and establish the reason for failure.
  • Contribute to the development of successful products by providing test reports, design input, and root cause analysis of issues identified.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a test facility or hands-on experience with QA testing procedures.
  • Hands-on mechanical and/or electrical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organized and structured with a drive for a clean, orderly, tidy, and safe working environment.
  • Computer literate with good abilities with MS Excel & Word.
  • Enthusiastic with a 'can do' outlook.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure and handle multiple projects and priorities.
  • Able to work as part of a team or own initiative as required, and work with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Good understanding of Quality systems (e.g. ISO 9001).
  • Good understanding of relevant UK, European, and International regulations, standards, codes of practice, and procedures (e.g. UKCA, CE, CCC, LVD, IP ratings, etc.).
  • Good experience of working in a technical test facility.
  • Minimum 1 year's industry-related experience in testing of products with mechanical, electrical, electronic, and software elements.
  • Good experience of following detailed test requirements and protocols.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and make confident decisions.
