Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced pharmacist to join our team in the acute medical unit and respiratory unit at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW). As a clinical pharmacy specialist, you will provide pharmaceutical advice to medical teams and contribute to the development of clinical services in these areas.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing pharmaceutical advice to acute and respiratory medicine teams
  • Developing and implementing clinical services in these areas
  • Leading the pharmacy medicine team and coordinating workflow and junior pharmacist assignments
  • Contributing to clinical projects and quality improvement initiatives
  • Providing teaching and training to junior pharmacists and pharmacy technicians

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in pharmacy or equivalent
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Experience of working in a hospital pharmacy setting
  • Knowledge of clinical pharmacy practice and quality improvement methodologies
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
