The Clinical Tutor position includes a 13% retention and recruitment bonus, calculated based on the base salary.

You will receive support to achieve your CAVA and educational credentials, with the potential to advance to a Band 7 role based on relevant departmental experience.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a diverse team dedicated to enhancing clinical education programs for Ambulance Operations. We are looking for enthusiastic, innovative, and motivated HCPC registered Paramedics to inspire both new and existing staff through a variety of educational initiatives.

Teaching qualifications required include a Certificate in Education/PGCE or an equivalent Level 3 Assessor qualification (such as the Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement).

Important Note: Enrollment for the Level 7 teaching qualification (PGCE) occurs biannually.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide both clinical and technical education and training. This will occur in formal classroom settings, virtual classrooms, and operational environments where patient interaction is involved.

Responsibilities include delivering scheduled educational activities, monitoring, and mentoring learner progress.

The post holder will actively promote best practices across the service while ensuring compliance with local and national standards.

The role also involves development in educational and leadership capacities, enabling the individual to undertake various managerial and educational responsibilities while providing visible clinical and managerial leadership.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Qualifications

  • Paramedic qualification and HCPC registration
  • Degree-level education or equivalent professional qualification
