Duties:

  • Develop and maintain effective health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular site audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards and risks.
  • Establish a comprehensive induction program for all site personnel to ensure they are aware of site-specific hazards and risks.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement a construction phase health and safety plan to ensure safe working practices.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain to establish effective relationships and ensure continuous improvement in delivering safety solutions.
  • Conduct regular health and safety inspections to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Health and Safety Manager in a Major Project Civils environment.
  • NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate or NVQ Level 3 in Health and Safety.
  • Degree or equivalent in Environmental Management or Sustainability or IEMA Foundation Certificate.

Remuneration:

The client is offering a salary up to £72,000 + car allowance + package for the right candidate.
