The Role
- Responsible for the new product introduction (NPI) of bespoke projects, product customisation, range extensions, and standard product improvements, taking products from initial enquiry to production, including costing, concept and detail design, prototyping and production drawings and work instructions.
- Aim to exceed customer expectations through the creation of well-designed and innovative products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement product development strategies to meet customer needs and exceed expectations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop new products, including product customisation and range extensions.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities for product improvement.
- Design and develop prototypes, production drawings, and work instructions to support product development.
Requirements
- Proven experience in product development, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of product design, development, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
