Senior Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team at TechNichols Resourcing. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing engineering projects from initial client enquiry to successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform a wide array of Mechanical and Electrical, civil design, planning, construction support and client management services across all sectors served.
- Plan, direct and monitor all aspects of small and large multi-discipline projects involving design, estimating, new sales opportunities and growth of the project business.
- Provide leadership for projects and develop an environment which encourages great teamwork, initiative and growth.
- Guide project teams on complex technical issues.
- Provide supervision, coordination and production for several projects concurrently.
- Build and maintain positive client relationships.
- Get actively involved with company marketing & business development, using your ability to engage with clients and win new work.
- Develop strategy, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts and execute projects.
- Coordinate staffing plans and workloads through the entire project development, while meeting agreed project schedules and budgets.
- Control overall project costs and scope, scheduling and the quality of work.
- Implement project QA/QC and work with internal departments.
- Prepare engineering design reports, project documents, construction plans and contract documents including technical specifications.
- Provide significant design and construction oversight for multiple clients.
- Good experience as a Project Manager with Mechanical or Electrical experience.
- Experience in managing engineering projects within Water, Aviation, Airports/Terminals, Utilities, Hospitality, Retail, Road or Rail sectors.
- The ability to collaborate and coordinate with design teams consisting of multi-discipline design engineers and technicians.
- Excellent communication & people skills with a track record of successful project delivery working closely with clients, funding agencies and/or regulators as applicable.
- The ability to utilise existing client relationships and your own network to develop new business & future Sales opportunities.
- A bachelor's degree (preferred but not mandatory) in an Engineering discipline or related experience.
- An APM, PRINCE II or similar project management qualification would be useful, alternatively, support can be given for those interested in taking the qualifications.
- Able to travel to client and project sites across multiple UK locations (typically from the Midlands and south from there).
- Experienced in managing projects with values typically between £20k to 250k is useful.
