As a qualified Electrical Technician in the Field Service sector, you will engage with clients at various locations, possessing a solid grasp of power generation operations. Your expertise in both mechanical and electrical systems will be crucial in executing your daily responsibilities across diverse technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as an Electrical Technician for Field Service tasks at designated client locations.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Generator Mechanical and Electrical operations, demonstrating proficiency across multiple technologies.
- Utilize trade-specific skills for Electrical Fitting while adhering to safety and competency standards.
- Follow high-level directives from Supervisors and Site Managers.
- Take ownership of your work within established guidelines, proactively identifying issues and defects.
- Assist in the daily execution of tasks and resolve site-related challenges.
- Complete inspection documentation as required by your supervisor, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Adhere to safety protocols and be familiar with risk assessments and safe working practices.
- Exhibit motivation and commitment to site initiatives.
- Be aware of site-specific processes and procedures.
- Participate in training for any identified skill development areas.
- Support the training of junior employees when necessary.
- Maintain an exceptional attendance record and demonstrate flexibility in work arrangements.
- Manage time effectively on-site, including during breaks.
- Support company initiatives focused on safety and quality.
- Frequent travel may be required for both domestic and international assignments.
Qualifications
- Completion of an electrical or mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in electrical fitting, particularly in power generation environments.
- Strong communication skills are essential.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Familiarity with repairs on various generator types.
- Experience in mechanical disassembly and reassembly during generator overhauls.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing site requirements.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications is advantageous.
