Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team at Kopin Corporation. As an Artificial Intelligence Engineer, you will be responsible for developing software for our existing microdisplay based products and contributing to the design of new products.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in software design and development, with experience in programming languages such as 'C' and Java. They will also have a basic understanding of electronics and embedded coding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software for new and existing products
  • Develop system tests for new products and assist with the debug and verification of prototype designs
  • Create and maintain design documentation (requirement specifications, test procedures, etc.)
  • Ensure safe working practices are adhered to in accordance with company policies
  • Perform other duties as required by the Line Manager

Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years' experience in software design and development with a degree in a relevant field
  • Strong programming skills in 'C' and Java
  • Basic understanding of electronics and embedded coding
  • Experience with testing and debug of prototype designs
  • Strong technical documentation skills

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with video/graphics interfacing and standards
  • Knowledge of device communication protocols (e.g. RS-232, RS-485, USB)
  • Proficiency in C++ or C#
  • Unix shell scripting skills
