The Role:

As a School Crossing Patrol Officer with Hampshire County Council, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of children on their way to and from school. You will be responsible for monitoring traffic and pedestrian flow, and providing a visible presence to deter drivers from speeding or ignoring traffic signals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor traffic and pedestrian flow to ensure safe passage for children
  • Provide a visible presence to deter drivers from speeding or ignoring traffic signals
  • Work collaboratively with other road safety professionals to identify and address safety concerns
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local schools and community groups to promote road safety awareness
