About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Support Worker to join our team at Disability North. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people with disabilities to develop their independent living skills, social skills, and self-care skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support young people with disabilities to develop their independent living skills, social skills, and self-care skills.
- Work alongside other Support Workers to provide one-to-one or two-to-one support to young people.
- Help young people to develop their confidence and self-esteem.
- Support young people to participate in activities that are important to them and that they enjoy doing.
Requirements:
- Enthusiasm, confidence, and a willingness to support young people with disabilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- A Full enhanced DBS is required for this role.
