Early Years Educator Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Early Years Educator at our LavendersDay Nursery in Bedford. As an employee-owned company, we offer a supportive and collaborative work environment.

About the Role:

  • Work as part of a team to create and maintain safe and supportive learning environments for young children.
  • Plan and implement opportunities to enhance children's development and complete observations linked to the early years curriculum.
  • Interact positively with all nursery users and work in partnership with colleagues and parents to ensure all children's individual needs are met.
  • Adhere to nursery routines and policies and seek guidance from your leadership team as required.

What You'll Gain:

  • A Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification.
  • Level 2 Functional Skills qualifications in maths and English, if not already held.
  • A permanent contract, subject to successful qualification, with the potential for a permanent appointment as a qualified Nursery Nurse.

  • A varied shift pattern, usually between 07:15am-18:30pm Monday-Friday.
  • A childcare trainer/assessor from our in-house Training Academy of Excellence.
  • 11 group training sessions with other apprentices from across our partnership.
  • An hourly pay rate of £6, increasing to £10 after 6 months and £11.44 after 12 months.

Requirements:

  • Photographic ID in the form of a valid passport or driving licence.
  • Access to a computer to undertake the initial online assessment and submit ongoing coursework.
  • Comfortable with travelling to and from group training sessions in Newport Pagnell.
