Band 7 Specialist Dietitian - Prehabilitation Service

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Band 7 dietitian to join our prehabilitation team at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate will have a leading role in the development and running of this multidisciplinary service, working closely with a physiotherapist, occupational therapist, and therapy assistants to deliver a service that reduces complications from treatment and improves patient health through positive lifestyle changes.

Main Responsibilities

The post holder will autonomously manage a clinical caseload within the BHRUT cancer pathway for all cancer types, using evidence-based and client-centered principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions in the designated setting. Leadership and clinical support will be provided by the Macmillan Living with and Beyond Cancer Lead, the BHRUT Lead Cancer Nurse, and the Clinical Lead Dietitian.

Key Requirements
  • Experience in the specialist field of oncological treatments and care in the acute setting
  • Evidence of innovative ways of working and initiative
  • Previous experience of developing a new service
  • Experience in prehabilitation
  • Knowledge of Personalised Cancer Care
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £51,883 to £58,544 per annum, as well as opportunities for professional and personal development. The department is actively involved in the education of other healthcare professionals and student dietitians, and you will be expected to participate in this training.
