Quality Engineer Role

About the Role

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team at Travail Employment Group. As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality function from raw material to delivered product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all quality-related issues within the manufacturing team (internal, supplier, customer)
  • Support new product introduction undertaking full APQP including FMEA, MSA, PPAP & SPC
  • Implement and manage Six Sigma core tools (PFMEA, MSA, PPAP, SPC)
  • Ensure compliance in line with IATF16949/ISO9001
  • Lead quality audits
  • Implement quality management system improvements
  • Deliver training as required
  • Undertake supplier and third-party audits
  • Investigate non-conformance, undertake 8D/root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions

Requirements

  • Confident experience in managing quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of IATF16949
  • Fully conversant with APQP
  • Internal and supplier auditing experience
  • Excellent investigative, questioning and communication skills
  • Experienced in Lean Manufacturing techniques and Six Sigma
  • Hold a minimum HNC in mechanical engineering or similar
  • Be seeking a role where you can develop
  • Happy to undertake occasional travel overseas
