Job Title: Traffic Signals Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Traffic Signals Engineer to join our team in Portsmouth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of fixed traffic signals and associated equipment for Highways England and Local Authorities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all works are carried out with full regard for safety, supporting company H&S policies and procedures.
  • Support the PFI Business Manager and Traffic Signals Supervisor in producing and maintaining the HEA/NHSS 8 Sector Scheme portfolio.
  • Produce test and handover documentation within required timescales and to the highest quality.
  • Conduct fault diagnosis on traffic signal-related products and carry out installation and commissioning works to specified designs and standards.
  • Attend traffic signal-related faults in a timely manner, ensuring contract response times are met.

Requirements:

  • Valid ECS/CSCS/HEA card.
  • Electrically qualified to BS 7671 wiring regulations (17th Edition) and City & Guilds 2391-52 Inspection & Testing.
  • Ability to work on own, comfortable working at heights, and in all weather conditions.
  • Full UK driving licence required.
