Principal Frontend Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Frontend Engineer to join our team at ECOM. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of frontend developers, guiding them through cross-functional delivery and agile principles.

About the Role:

You will be at the forefront of guiding a talented team through cross-functional delivery and agile principles. Your expertise in Frontend engineering, paired with exceptional leadership skills, will play a pivotal role in mentoring a team achieve success. This role allows you to delve into hands-on engineering while being a mentor to other frontend developers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of frontend developers in the development of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable frontend applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain technical expertise in Frontend engineering, staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies.
  • Evaluate strengths and weaknesses in service-oriented architectures and provide guidance to the team.
  • Implement agile principles and methodologies to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.

Requirements:

  • Commercial experience with React and Typescript.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in various engineering domains.
  • Demonstrated expertise in leadership and mentorship.
  • Skilful evaluation of strengths and weaknesses in service-oriented architectures.
  • In-depth knowledge of agile principles.
