We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Scientist Team Leader to join our dynamic Microbiology team at SYNLAB UK & Ireland. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing an efficient and effective Microbiology service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage a team of Biomedical Scientists to ensure high-quality laboratory results and excellent customer service.
- Develop and implement quality control and quality assurance procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with clinicians, hospitals, and occupational health providers to provide a complete pathology offering.
- Contribute to the development of laboratory information management systems and computer applications.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in Microbiology and Molecular biology techniques.
- HCPC registration and Specialist portfolio or equivalent in Microbiology.
- Management qualification to ILM level 3 or relevant experience.
- Excellent knowledge and experience of industry-standard laboratory information management systems and computer applications.
- Working knowledge of Microbiological manual and automated techniques and practices.
- Working knowledge of Molecular biology techniques and platforms.
