About the Role

The University of London is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Fundraising and Prospect Development Manager to join our Development Office. This is a new key position that will provide strategic, data-driven guidance to our fundraising team to track prospects as they are moved through the donor lifecycle.

The successful candidate will use research and data analysis insights to inform fundraising strategy and maximise the University's fundraising potential. They will be responsible for designing, implementing and managing the process for prospect development, including moves management, prospect strategy development and pipeline development.

The role will require regularly reporting on the value and status of the active prospect pipeline, and will work closely with the Head of Development and the Director of Development to allocate prospect portfolios appropriately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a prospect development strategy to identify, track and engage with high-value prospects
  • Use data analysis and research insights to inform fundraising strategy and maximise fundraising potential
  • Design and implement moves management processes to track prospects through the donor lifecycle
  • Develop and maintain prospect pipelines, including regular reporting on pipeline value and status
  • Work closely with the Head of Development and the Director of Development to allocate prospect portfolios and ensure effective use of resources

Requirements

  • Proven experience in fundraising and prospect development, with a strong track record of success
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop strategic insights
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and partnership
  • Knowledge of fundraising best practices and industry trends, with a commitment to ongoing professional development
