About the Role:
The Rotherham Hospice is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Housekeeper. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients and their families.
Main Responsibilities:
- Environmental Services: Clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and office spaces to ensure a high level of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Linen and Laundry Management: Collect, sort, and launder linens, towels, and bedding, and monitor inventory levels to ensure efficient linen distribution.
- Waste Management and Disposal: Dispose of waste and recyclable materials according to established policies and procedures, and adhere to infection control practices to prevent the spread of infections.
- Equipment Maintenance and Operations: Operate and maintain cleaning equipment in good working condition, and report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with the housekeeping team to enhance the overall experience of everyone at the hospice, and communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles, preferably in a healthcare or hospitality setting, is highly desirable.
