Position Overview:
The National Education Union is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Regional Support Coordinator. This role is essential in enhancing the support provided to our members, activists, and lay officers throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities:
The Regional Support Coordinator will play a pivotal role in:
- Delivering comprehensive assistance in achieving the strategic goals of the region.
- Managing individual casework and providing expert advice on employment legislation and workplace conditions.
- Facilitating recruitment and organizing efforts to strengthen union representation.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A solid understanding of employment law, policies, and procedures.
- Experience in trade union organizing and member support.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Work Environment:
This position is primarily office-based, with occasional travel required for training and other duties across the region. The National Education Union promotes a blended working model, allowing for a combination of office and remote work.
