Position: Operations Facilities Supervisor

Location: Anonymous

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 37 hours per week

Salary: £39,186 per annum, with potential progression to £43,421 per annum

Our organization is tasked with the oversight, functionality, upkeep, and administration of critical infrastructure operations.

With a significant volume of daily traffic, our facilities serve as a vital connection within the local transportation network, facilitating movement and accessibility.

We are in search of a seasoned Facilities Supervisor who possesses the ability to effectively lead a team in a dynamic environment, adeptly responding to fluctuations in traffic patterns, incident management, adverse weather conditions, and mechanical failures.

The supervisor will also serve as the primary point of contact for welfare concerns, collaborating closely with emergency response teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee daily operations, ensuring a high standard of service delivery.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to address emergency situations or incidents outside of regular hours when necessary.
  • Possess a Level 5 qualification or equivalent in a relevant field such as logistics, transportation, or business management.
  • Exhibit exceptional communication skills, with a focus on leading by example and providing coaching and mentorship to team members.
  • Have substantial experience in operational management with an emphasis on customer service excellence.
  • Oversee staff performance management, including setting improvement goals and conducting performance reviews.
  • Manage procurement processes for goods and services, including oversight of consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Administer budgets, planning, and forecasting activities.
  • Develop and manage staff schedules to ensure operational efficiency.

Additionally, the role requires:

  • A high level of accurate reporting and documentation skills, with proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and database management.
  • Practical experience in applying internal policies and collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards in toll collection processes.
  • Daily management of operational support services to maintain service resilience and effective incident management.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the performance of dedicated operational systems, including toll collection interfaces and environmental monitoring systems.
  • Contributing to the identification and implementation of innovative systems and policies to enhance service delivery.
  • Ensuring the security and management of facilities, including fire safety protocols.
