Key Responsibilities- Design Systems Ownership: Take complete ownership of William Hill's design system, ensuring it is comprehensive, well-documented, and consistently applied across all design projects.
- Variables Component Expertise: Develop and implement variables and components within Figma, enabling flexibility, customisation, and adaptability for various use cases and screen sizes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product designers, developers, and stakeholders to understand their needs, gather feedback, and ensure the design system effectively supports their workflows.
- Documentation: Maintain thorough and up-to-date documentation for the design system, including guidelines, component libraries, and best practices.
- Evangelism: Advocate for the design system internally, educating and empowering teams to utilise it effectively.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to designers, fostering a culture of design excellence and knowledge sharing.
- A wealth of professional experience in design, with a strong focus on design systems and component libraries for a national or global organisation.
- Figma Mastery: Ninja Expert-level proficiency in Figma, with a deep understanding of variables and components, and their application in design systems.
- Variables/Tokens Mastery: Proven ability to design and implement a robust token system (colour, typography, spacing) to ensure product consistency and scalability.
- Version Control (Git): Experience using Git or similar version control systems to manage and track changes to design files and code.
