CloudPay is seeking a skilled Platform Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of our new CI/CD Pipeline and deployment system. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining sophisticated virtual development environments and ensuring the platform is deployed and tested in line with our agreed test, security, and release strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- CI/CD Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline the Software Development Life Cycle experience and ensure the platform is deployed and tested in line with our agreed test, security, and release strategies.
- Virtual Development Environments: Build and maintain cost-effective virtual development environments to create a common experience for code and QA engineers.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other teams and departments, including Engineering Management, Release Management, Product Managers, and Engineering Teams, to devise test and release strategies.
- Git Repository Management: Own critical Git repositories and assist Release Management with merging and branching issues as necessary.
- Training and Knowledge Sharing: Train and engage with Engineering Teams to allow them to develop and maintain appropriate parts of the CI/CD pipeline, and share knowledge of DevOps best practices and technologies with Engineering teams.
Requirements:
- DevOps Experience: Solid experience in a DevOps Engineer role is required.
- Cloud Solutions: Working on mid-large cloud solutions using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code best practices.
- Technical Skills: Experience with Linux and scripting languages like Shell Script and Ruby; familiarity with Linux-based containers is necessary.
- Development Tools: Experience configuring development tools and services, such as MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, Selenium/WebDriver, monitoring, and alerting.
- AWS and EKS: Experience with AWS and Elastic Kubernetes Services (EKS) or similar technologies.
- Cost Optimization: Cost Optimization experience is a distinctive advantage.
- Git Repository Management: Experienced user and administrator of GIT repositories, an advantage.
- Customer Service: Strong customer service ethos, with our agile engineering teams regarded as customers and partners.
- Communication: Effective communicator, with many colleagues having English as a second language.
