About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Systems Specialist to join our team at Screwfix Direct Limited. As an HR Systems Specialist, you will play a key part in maintaining and delivering core functionality in our SAP HR system.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Maintenance: Plan and implement system changes, ensuring thorough testing and effective communication of results.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Own the testing of complex HR systems changes, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Data Management: Manage data feeds and downstream systems linked to SAP HR, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • HR Support: Assist the HR Systems Manager with HR small works coordination, ensuring seamless delivery of HR services.
  • UAT Coordination: Manage the coordination of HR Support packs UAT, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
  • Technical Requirements: Assist the Systems Manager in gathering technical requirements for new demand/projects, working with business and IT teams to provide practical systems solutions.
  • Query Management: Manage complex or escalated queries, providing timely and effective resolution.
  • Data Analysis: Manage the pulling of data and explaining complex data for auditors, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Calendar Events: Deliver calendar events, including absence quota release, holiday carry over, legislative system updates, and new functionality release.
  • Organisational Management: Maintain Organisational Management, including creating new Trade Counters, departments, locations, and job & position maintenance.
  • User Compliance: Monitor user compliance, including data integrity and effective use of system, and report on annual leave, sickness, data integrity, and ad hoc audit reports.
  • System Authorisations: Manage appropriate system authorisations for users and ensure audit compliance, including accurate supporting matrix.
  • Legacy System Maintenance: Maintain legacy systems, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Business Support: Offer assistance to different business areas in relation to any front-line HR systems-related issues.
  • Data Extraction: Record and extract data, using formulas and look-ups to validate information.
  • Reporting: Prepare agreed regular and ad hoc reports for internal and external customers.
  • Error Management: Manage self-service workflow errors, correcting or escalating where action is required.
  • Data Provision: Work with other internal departments in providing and supporting data for business use.
  • Issue Resolution: Deal effectively with escalated issues and queries relating to the HR database.
  • Process Improvement: Support the HR Service Manager in developing and driving improved efficiencies and accuracies within the administration team.
Requirements
  • Proven Database Experience: Proven database experience is essential, with SAP HR experience desirable.
  • HR Systems Background: Proven background in a HR Systems environment is essential.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Demonstrable track record in successfully managing a large number of internal customer relationships is essential.
  • Confidentiality: Previous experience handling highly confidential information is desirable.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Prior demonstrable experience of analysing data, systems testing, reporting, and audit is desirable.
  • MS Office Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office programmes, particularly Excel.
