Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team at HR GO Recruitment. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Daily Maintenance Tasks: Perform daily maintenance tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Manager, including regular inspections and repairs of equipment.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records.
  • Breakdown Assistance: Provide assistance with equipment breakdowns, repairs, and general projects as required.
  • Training Needs Identification: Identify your own maintenance training needs and inform the Maintenance Manager accordingly.
  • Task Delegation: Perform tasks as delegated by the Maintenance Manager or other authorized personnel.
  • Tool Maintenance: Maintain all company tools and equipment in good working order.
  • Inventory Management: Develop and implement an effective inventory system to ensure adequate spare parts coverage.
  • Tool and Equipment Requests: Notify the Maintenance Manager of any new tool or equipment requirements.
  • Scope of Authority: Sign on behalf of the company for supplier deliveries.
Performance Criteria
  • Maintenance of Protective Clothing and General Appearance: Maintain a clean and tidy appearance and wear protective clothing as required.
  • Maintenance of Work Area: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the tool and spare parts store.
  • Accurate and Timely Completion of Documentation: Complete all documentation accurately and on time.
  • Minimizing Equipment Failure: Take steps to minimize equipment failure through neglect.
  • Conformance to Company Procedures: Adhere to all company procedures and policies.
  • Maintaining a Positive Attitude: Maintain a positive attitude and relationship with colleagues and customers.
  • Punctuality and Effective Use of Company Time: Use company time effectively and arrive on time for work.
  • Maintaining an Excellent Attendance Record: Maintain an excellent attendance record.
Physical Requirements
  • Basic Computer Literacy: Possess basic computer skills.
  • Basic Clerical and Administrative Skills: Possess basic clerical and administrative skills.
  • Experience in Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance: Have experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance, with a focus on mechanical maintenance.
  • Fitness to Carry Out the Job: Be physically fit to carry out the job requirements.
  • Appropriate Driving License: Possess an appropriate driving license for company vehicles.
Benefits
  • Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 per annum.
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, with on-call hours paid at a minimum of 3.5 hours, even if on site for only 1 hour, plus in-lieu time the next day if called out.
  • Pension: A pension scheme is available.
  • Free Parking: Free parking is available.
  • Annual Leave: 22 days annual leave, plus 8 bank holiday days, and a paid birthday day off after 6 months' probation.
  • Health Scheme: A health scheme is available, which includes up to £60 towards doctors' and dentists' bills per year, an on-call doctor line, and other benefits.
