We are seeking a skilled Category Lead to manage and steer the end-to-end sourcing process for essential products and services used by our depots. This role will involve working closely with our Indirect Spend Category Manager to support our operating companies and manage a portfolio of contracts across products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and procure the right products and suppliers while mitigating risk to the business
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external supply chain partners
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure effective sourcing and procurement strategies
  • Manage a portfolio of contracts and negotiate with suppliers
  • Provide analytical support to inform procurement decisions

Requirements

  • Background in facilities-related procurement with experience in tendering, contract creation, and supplier relationship management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commercially focused with a keen eye for detail and a passion for numbers
  • Experience in developing and supporting team members
  • Relevant CIPS qualifications or working towards them
