Key Responsibilities- Implement and Monitor Health and Safety Policies: Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and programs to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct Risk Assessments: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement preventative measures to minimize risks.
- Provide Training and Support: Organize and conduct training sessions on health and safety practices and regulations for staff, and provide guidance and support to ensure compliance.
- Investigate Incidents: Investigate accidents or incidents to identify causes and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Recommend Improvements: Identify opportunities for improvement and recommend solutions to enhance health and safety protocols and procedures.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Developments: Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with industry developments and best practices.
- NEBOSH Certification: Hold a NEBOSH certification or be in the process of obtaining one, demonstrating a strong foundation in health and safety principles.
- Strong Organizational Skills: Possess excellent organizational skills and effective communication abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proactive Approach: Demonstrate a proactive approach to enhancing workplace safety and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office and working knowledge of safety management information systems is an asset.
