About the Role

We're looking for a skilled and experienced Department Manager to join our team at B&Q Eltham. As a key member of our store leadership team, you'll be responsible for driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and leading a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

As a Department Manager, you'll be responsible for:

  • Leading a team of sales advisors and ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to provide excellent customer service
  • Driving sales growth through effective merchandising, visual displays, and promotions
  • Managing stock levels, inventory, and stockroom operations to ensure efficient and effective stock management
  • Collaborating with other departments to achieve store-wide goals and objectives
  • Providing coaching, training, and development opportunities to team members to improve their skills and performance

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Proven experience in a retail or sales environment, preferably in a leadership or management role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales growth
