Position Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Catering Administrator to deliver exceptional administrative support within the Catering department at Bath Spa University.
Role Responsibilities
As the Catering Administrator, your primary focus will be to assist the Catering team in enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring that administrative functions are effective and responsive. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing administrative systems and maintaining accurate records.
- Updating allergen information and supporting financial and procurement activities.
- Assisting the Head Chef and Catering Manager with event coordination and supplier communications.
- Providing project support and maintaining the department's online presence.
- Coordinating vehicle services as needed.
Flexibility to work across various locations is essential.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A qualification in business administration (NVQ level 3 or equivalent).
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
- Recent experience in administrative roles with a customer service focus.
- Basic financial knowledge and excellent communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- The capability to manage workloads effectively under tight deadlines.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Flexibility, problem-solving skills, and a professional demeanor.

It is expected that you will develop a comprehensive understanding of the Facilities and Services activities and priorities, as well as the broader functions of the University estate.
