Caretaker Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Trainee Caretaker. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing a high-quality mobile cleaning service and assisting with the upkeep of communal areas within blocks of flats, high-rise blocks, and community living complexes in Cardiff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a high-quality mobile cleaning service and assist with the cleaning and clearance of properties, communal areas, and surrounding spaces.
- Undertake all duties in line with service area and corporate policies and procedures.
- Ensure risk assessments are followed and tasks are carried out in accordance with the council's health and safety policy and relevant procedures.
- Report repairs and ensure that if asbestos has been disturbed, it is reported to the Community Action Supervisor promptly.
- Assist in maintaining routine documentation, including daily defect books, driver's daily return forms, and other transport documentation.
Requirements:
- Experience of using new technology.
- Availability to work immediately or at short notice.
- Right to work in the U.K.
