About the Role

Our esteemed client, a leading provider of financial services, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join their Private Client Trust Tax team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to managers and directors, ensuring the smooth operation of trust accounts and tax returns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Trust Administration: Prepare accounts for a portfolio of trusts using CCH trust accounting software, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare trust tax returns using CCH software and accompanying forms R185 for the beneficiary/ies, ensuring timely and accurate compliance.
  • Inheritance Tax Returns: Prepare inheritance tax returns for relevant property trusts at ten-year anniversaries and on the occasions of proportionate charges, as well as for qualifying interest in possession trusts on the occasions of a charge.
  • Compliance Requirements: Deal with FATCA and Common Reporting Standard compliance requirements, as well as the Trust Registration Service.
  • Beneficiary Support: Prepare tax returns and repayment claim forms for beneficiaries, ensuring their needs are met.
  • Trust Administration Duties: Perform other trust administration duties, such as helping to arrange payments and managing client bank accounts.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Ideally, but not necessarily, be ATT or STEP part qualified or qualified.
  • Skills: Possess great listening and problem-solving skills, be well organized, and able to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
  • Attention to Detail: Have strong accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritize under pressure.
  • Willingness to Learn: Be willing to learn and develop your skills, with a strong desire to grow and develop within the company.
