GIS Lead Architect Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Lead Architect to join our team at Addition+. As a GIS Lead Architect, you will be responsible for providing technical guidance and mentorship to GIS analysts and developers, as well as recommending new tools and techniques to stay up-to-date with the latest GIS technologies and trends.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to GIS analysts and developers
  • Recommend new tools and techniques to stay up-to-date with the latest GIS technologies and trends
  • Design and implement integration strategies for GIS with other enterprise systems
  • Develop and maintain the overall GIS architecture, including data models, application frameworks, and integration strategies
  • Lead GIS projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a leadership or architectural role with GIS projects and teams
  • Knowledge of spatial databases (e.g., PostGIS, Oracle Spatial)
  • Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL)
