Job Summary:

The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Audiology Assistant to join our multi-disciplinary team. As an Audiology Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the smooth operation of our audiology service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a hearing aid repair service, including repairing and maintaining hearing aids to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct telephone follow-up appointments with adult hearing aid users to ensure their devices are functioning correctly and address any concerns.
  • Assist in paediatric hearing assessment clinics, working closely with our team of audiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  • Support adult balance function testing and be responsible for stock monitoring, including the management of earmoulds to ensure accurate and efficient inventory management.
  • Perform a range of clerical duties within the department, including data entry, record-keeping, and administrative tasks.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Basic knowledge of audiology principles and practices, with a willingness to learn and develop skills in this area.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
