Marketing and Business Development Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Marketing and Business Development Manager to join our team at New Appointments Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a focused marketing and business development strategy to drive growth and expansion in the Canterbury area.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive marketing and business development strategy to target existing and potential clients
  • Research and understand the needs and structures of prospective clients
  • Plan, execute, and finalize projects through to their successful delivery
  • Represent the firm and manage associated activities effectively
  • Create strong credentials, pitches, and advising partners on strategy in relation to bids and tenders
  • Administer the creation of sector-specific content, campaigns, and other profile-raising activities
  • Organize and attend marketing events, recording their take-up and success rate
  • Work with the Marketing Manager to update web pages and social media
  • Plan, prepare, and monitor annual budgets
  • Pick up third-party interaction with marketing service providers from the Marketing Manager

Requirements:

  • Valid work experience in a Law Firm, Accountancy Firm, Management Consultancy, Property/Construction Firm, Financial Services Firm, or other regulated industry
  • Proven track record of achieving targets
  • Strong understanding of how to develop effective strategies
  • Experience working with senior managers to understand objectives and needs and to negotiate consensus
  • Able to make use of digital tools to reach targeted and wider audiences
  • Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication
  • Competency in project management tools (e.g. MS Project)
