Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Professional to join our small but busy accounts department at Team Jobs. As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering accurate and timely transactional work while maintaining strong relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate accounting records in line with regulatory standards, ensuring compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules and internal policies.
  • Process high volumes of receipts and payments across various bank accounts, utilizing practice management software (Tikit Partner for Windows).
  • Manage daily reconciliations and handle tasks including purchase ledger, expense ledger, online invoicing, payroll, and month-end accounts production.
  • Act as the first point of contact for payment queries and proactively communicate with fee earners, ensuring seamless client relationships.
  • Provide support in training new colleagues in accounting processes and assist in the preparation of annual accounts.

Requirements:

  • Minimum GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English
  • AAT or similar accounting qualification is advantageous
  • CIMA membership is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience or a keen interest in working within an accounts department, ideally in a legal firm.
  • Experience managing high volumes of financial transactions is preferred.
