We're one of the country's largest bus operators, and our engineering teams are at the forefront of bus technology. We're investing in state-of-the-art new buses and workshops, and we're looking for skilled mechanics to join our team.
About the Role
We're seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team, responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicle faults, servicing and maintaining our fleet of buses, and attending on-road breakdowns. If you have a passion for automotive engineering and a flexible approach to working hours, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair vehicle faults, using your technical knowledge and skills to ensure our buses are safe and reliable.
- Service and maintain our fleet of buses, using hand-held data capture devices to record and track maintenance activities.
- Attend on-road breakdowns and recoveries, using your technical expertise to diagnose and repair faults.
- Carry out vehicle road testing to identify specific vehicle defects or following remedial repair.

About You
- You'll have a minimum Level 3 NVQ standard of equivalent qualification in automotive engineering.
- You'll have a flexible approach to working hours, including alternating shifts and weekend work.
- You'll have a valid UK driver's licence and a PCV licence (or be willing to obtain one).
- You'll have experience of working with buses and coaches, or a similar vehicle type.
