About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to join our team at JSS Search. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our family-owned construction business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the relationship with customers, specifically in relation to applications and dispute resolution. This will involve building on knowledge and understanding of details and designs, relevant materials, construction processes, and methods.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Build and maintain relationships with customers to ensure timely and accurate applications.
  2. Responsible for sending Applications to clients on a monthly basis, working to tight deadlines, and maximizing revenues.
  3. Set up and maintain application sign off sheets to ensure completion.
  4. Maintain and send old projects finishing/starting documents.
  5. Creating breakdowns of figures from Applications.
  6. Providing weekly reports on application figures.
  7. Producing and maintaining dispute sheet records, carrying out investigations into disputed items, and ultimately resolving them.
  8. Interpreting payment certificates.
  9. Claiming contract variations via Applications.
  10. Providing pricing breakdowns and details of damage and engineer callouts as requested by customers.
  11. Communicating with clients and internal staff, answering queries via meetings, email, and telephone.
  12. Upload application figures to the monthly sheet used for invoicing.
  13. Liaising closely with the Accounts Team to ensure that applications are appropriately and accurately invoiced.
  14. Input data from payment schedules for the Accounts Team to reference.
  15. Setting up (electronic and hard copy) of new projects, including project folders and gathering costs and putting them onto an application for clients.
  16. Gathering/chasing relevant personnel for information for Applications.
  17. Carrying out the forecast of monthly figures for the southern region.
  18. Creating a schedule of application dates for operations.
  19. Setting up new projects for the application process.
  20. Inserting final dates for payments for accounts to monthly figure sheets.
Requirements
  1. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  2. Knowledge of JCT subcontracts.
  3. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  4. Knowledge of construction contracts and regulations.
  5. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  6. Ability to work with a new software system (SYNRIX) which manages the rental fleet operationally and commercially.
Working Environment

This role will be largely office-based, with an element of travel to customer sites when required and the opportunity to work from home when needed.
