Service Engineer (Field) Role

Luton Bennett is seeking a skilled Service Engineer (Field) to join our team in Birmingham. As a Service Engineer (Field), you will be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance and breakdown coverage on a range of forklifts in and around Birmingham.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out PPM and breakdown on materials handling machinery on a field service engineering basis
  • Reactive breakdown coverage within the allocated geographical area
  • Complete comprehensive training to get fully competent on all machinery and equipment
  • Spares placed in van overnight

Requirements:

  • Plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural or similar equipment, automotive technicians/motor trade will also be suitable
  • Ideally hold a level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject
  • IT literate

The Service Engineer (Field) role will be suitable for engineers from any kind of plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural, cleaning equipment or similar. You need to demonstrate mechanical service and repair skills, ideally have engine diagnostic and some basic electrical skills.
