Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality anaesthetic care to patients undergoing cardiac surgery. This will involve working closely with the cardiac surgical team to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide anaesthetic care to patients undergoing cardiac surgery
  • Work closely with the cardiac surgical team to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes
  • Participate in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures
  • Contribute to the education and training of junior medical staff
  • Engage in research and quality improvement initiatives
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Full registration with the GMC and completion of a subspecialty training programme in anaesthesia or equivalent experience
  • Wide experience and accredited training in most aspects of anaesthesia, including cardiothoracic surgery
  • Advanced cardiac training and experience in TOE (transoesophageal echocardiography)
  • Accreditation in TOE (transoesophageal echocardiography)
