Data Insights Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Insights Specialist to join our HR Systems & Data team at the University of Hull. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in delivering strategic insights and data-driven solutions to inform business decisions.
Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with stakeholders across the University to gather and analyze data from multiple sources, using data visualization tools such as PowerBI to present findings in an accessible format. You will also be responsible for managing routine and planned data requests, as well as ad-hoc needs of our stakeholders.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement data-driven solutions, working closely with the HR Systems & Data team to deliver insights and reports that inform strategic decisions. You will also be responsible for supporting the team in developing their knowledge and experience in people analytics.
This is a fixed-term role for months, and we are looking for someone who is passionate about data analysis and insights, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
About You- You will have a strong background in data analysis and insights, with experience in using data visualization tools such as PowerBI.
- You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- You will have a working knowledge of GDPR and data compliance, with the ability to ensure the security of our data.
- You will be able to manage multiple requests from different stakeholders, with differing importance and deadlines.
- You will be able to manage a team to support and empower them to develop and meet the team requirements and objectives.
