About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Management Systems Engineer to join our team at Camden Council. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for the effective operation and maintenance of our building management systems across 17 operational and administrative sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the optimal performance of building management systems in each building, identifying and resolving faults and issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Implement energy-saving measures across the portfolio via the building management system, ensuring compliance with energy efficiency targets.
  • Carry out works to a consistently high standard of quality and customer satisfaction, completing tasks 'Right First Time'.
  • Use your skills and judgment to diagnose building faults and determine the best solution to resolve repair problems.
Requirements
  • Substantial experience in the controls industry, with familiarity with motor control centres, control panels, wiring diagrams, and input/output schedules.
  • Experience in using CAFM systems and PDAs to receive work and input data.
  • Sound working knowledge and experience with Trend IQ Vision/963 Supervisor, and Siemens Desigo BMS systems.
  • Thorough understanding of building management systems, PLCs, electronic controls, including Trend/Schneider/Siemens systems and associated technical standards.
  • Familiarity with networking systems and cabling methods, including ethernet, fibre, copper, serial interface, and wireless systems.
  • Field device experience and the ability to change, upgrade, and modify field controllers and networks.
Qualifications
  • HND or equivalent technical qualification in BMS or Electronic Controls & Instrumentation or time-served accredited provider experience.
  • Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status or working towards.
