Job Title: Building Management Systems Engineer

Thatcher Associates is seeking a skilled Building Management Systems Engineer to join their team. As a BMS Engineer, you will be responsible for researching and identifying solutions to hardware issues, diagnosing and troubleshooting technical problems, and carrying out BMS PPM tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Investigate and resolve hardware issues
  2. Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems, including controls setup and network configuration
  3. Perform BMS PPM tasks
  4. Conduct customer interviews to quickly understand the root of the problem
  5. Track control system issues through to resolution, within agreed time limits
  6. Elevate unresolved issues to internal teams, such as software engineers
  7. Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers
  8. Consult internal databases or external resources to provide accurate technical solutions
  9. Ensure all issues are properly logged
  10. Prioritize and manage multiple open issues simultaneously
  11. Prepare accurate and timely reports
Shift Pattern:

You will be expected to follow a rota, comprising 4 weeks on site (standard working day hours) followed by 2 weeks working from home, during which time you would be on call.

Requirements:
  1. Proven work experience as a BMS Engineer, Technician, Building Manager, FM Manager, or similar
  2. Hands-on experience
  3. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues
  4. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  5. Tridium AX & N4 Experience
  6. Trend Experience
  7. System Commissioning
