Biomedical Scientist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Scientist to join our team at Kleboe Jardine Ltd. As a key member of our scientific team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our ongoing projects and ensuring the highest quality outputs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Optimise and run cell-based assays, including viability, cell counts, apoptosis, cytotoxicity, ELISA, DNA/RNA extractions, PCR, and RT-PCR.
  • Prepare samples for flow cytometry and perform FACS analysis.
  • Report results of QC assays and raise issues as they arise.
  • Prepare and ship samples and plates to outsourced providers and clients.
  • Maintain standard QC SOPs and input into the preparation and review of Certificates of Analysis.
  • Assist with drug testing, including creation and execution of dosing plans and data reviews.
  • Maintain up-to-date inventory of frozen samples and keep the Electronic Lab Notebook (Benchling) updated.
  • Contribute to the implementation of new quality measures and standards.
  • Devise and contribute to internal development projects to advance our offering.
  • Contribute to the writing of protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Requirements:
  • Working to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in a quality environment such as GLP/GMP.
  • Experience in DNA/RNA extractions, flow cytometry, PCR, RT-PCR, ELISA, and 3D cell culture.
  • Demonstrable experience in statistical data analysis interpretation and visualisation.
  • Proficient in using MS Office packages, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Diligent approach to data recording.
  • Ability to multi-task several projects simultaneously.
  • Creative approach to problem solving.
  • Experience in histology techniques, including sample processing, microtomy, cryotomy, H&E staining, and immunohistochemistry.
  • Experience in analysing patient databases, genetic, and bioinformatics data.
  • Experience using/programming liquid handling robotics.
