Home Purchase and Acquisitions Officer

Location: Southwark

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Home Purchase and Acquisitions Officer. As a key member of our Housing Development Team, you will be responsible for financial assessments for potential homeowners and ensuring the smooth transition into their new homes.

The role involves managing a small, shared ownership portfolio, including stair-casing and the collection of service charges and rent. You will also be required to liaise with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for new acquisitions and ensure that all property purchases align with our strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in operating our policy on rehousing assistance for homeowners affected by regeneration, contributing to and developing procedures to manage and engage with homeowners.
  2. Process and serve demolition Notices in accordance with legislation.
  3. Develop and follow procedures and systems covering financial assessments for customers to determine their affordability in relation to regeneration rehousing and our discretionary purchase schemes.
  4. Manage end-to-end processes of our Cash Incentive schemes, shared equity, equity loan, and social home buy schemes, and stair casing of shared ownership.

Requirements:

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills. You should have a strong understanding of financial assessments and be able to work effectively with internal stakeholders.
